Trendy Doll Clothes that Fit Barbie Dolls Without Costing a Fortune

I was in Walmart buying some toys and noticed a collection of dolls called Sparkle Girlz and they had a variety of clothes to choose from.  I examined the dolls and noticed there shape and size was very similar to Barbie dolls. The outfits were only $1.97. So,  I purchased several sets of the clothes.
Adorable top that has clear elastic shoulder straps, denim shorts with velcro closure in back, and adorable purple high heel shoes. All for $1.97.  Below is sneak preview of just one of the outfits I purchased - so stay tuned to see other outfits that I purchased.

Cannot wait to mix and match doll clothes and shoes with these clothes.

Thanks for viewing

Barbie Size Flamingo Pool Float DIY Tutorial

I had seen several photo's of Barbie size dolls on a pink flamingo float.  At first I was thinking it was a special float made just for Barbie Dolls.  After searching on Google, I realized it was not specifically made for Barbie or similar size dolls.  They are referred to as Beverage Boats, Drink Floats, inflatable cup holders, and there are other styles than just the flamingo's.  Since I love pink and so does Barbie I went on a hunt locally to find a pink flamingo.  My local Walmart did not carry them but could order online.  I finally found a package at Hobby Lobby.  Package of 4 for $3.99.

I know it is not officially summer, but the weather is summer like

Barbie is wearing her new swimsuit from the Barbie Dolphin Magic Collection that comes with the adorable puppy with sunglasses.
I was so excited to find the pink flamingo, I was thinking the package only had one.  I didn't even see 4 cups on the package.  4 inflatable cups for 3.99 is a bargain, and if you can use your 40% off coupon can get for less.  I was buying a higher priced item that was not on sale so I used the coupon on it.
I am going to use my X-acto knife and remove the thin layer of plastic that holds the cup  that way I can insert Barbie all the way through.

Barbie needs a cool beverage in her hand

It pays to have your "dolls eyes" on at all times when shopping.  There are so many miniature items - DIY, and mini tutorials that can be used for dolls like Barbie.

I hope you enjoyed this mini DIY tutorial

Monster High and Barbie Bedding

One of my granddaughters loves Monster High, Ever After High, and Barbie dolls.  So I was inspired to make some doll bedding for her and also made some to sell on my Etsy site.

Love the black and pink bedding for Barbie and Monster High doll

BBQ apron for Barbie

I found this free pattern and tutorial on Pinterest from Sharon sews -  http://sharonsews.blogspot.com/2009/07/sew-apron-oven-mitt-and-matching-chef.html  for a 11.5 inch doll apron.  I modified it a little bit.  I found this awesome BBQ material at Hobby Lobby and decided to use it for a BBQ apron for Barbie.

I found these realistic hot dogs on buns with mustard at JoAnn's on clearance for 25 cents.  They are for scrapbooking and had glue dots on the back of them and I placed them onto a silver tray (the tray is actually the lid off of cinnamon rolls icing).  I love to recycle items especially when I can make something for American Girl or Barbies look realistic.  The hot dogs stay put and don't get lost or stepped on (ouch).

Who is ready for summer and grilling?

You can see the back of apron.  I used pony tail holders and cut them to fit around her neck and lower back.  These stretch, therefore making it easy to put on or remove.
Here I used green, yellow, and black.  I couldn't find any red ones at the time I was making them.

Hope you enjoyed these.  Comments are welcomed/

Thanks for stopping and looking.

Barbie and Taylor Swift Guitar

I was going through some clearance items at Walmart and came across a guitar ornament.  I picked up the box and it was a guitar by Talyor Swift.  My head began to spin of thinking of how this is just the right size for a Barbie doll.  The sticker on the box had $17.50 but I only paid $3.50 for it. Sometimes we have to use our imaginations...lol

I removed the tiny ornament holder hook from the head othe neck of the guitar.  There is a tiny button on the back that plays one of her famous songs (sorry do not know name of song).  I purchased it for my oldest granddaughter for Valentines and today she accidently opened a bag and seen it.  So needless to say I gave it to her. She was so excited. We got a Barbie doll and the strap on the guitar comes off and we put it on the doll.
Then we had to have a "concert" with the other dolls.  Both granddaughters had a lot of fun playing with it.

Pic from one of the fans at concert.....

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to use your imagination :)

Barbie Doll - Leopard print - Bed in a Box (handmade)

I had seen several post using a photo box as a base for a bed for dolls such as Barbie, Liv, Monster High.  I used a black photo box as the base for the bed, then I used the lid for headboard.  I fastened the headboard with velcro.  You can remove lid and store bedding inside box and put away for storage if needed. Leopard print duck tape used to decorate the headboard.

Handmade matteress sits on top of bed

A handmade tan flannel bedspread, handmade brown top sheet with leopard ribbon, two handmade pillows, two handmade brown pillow cases, two handmade pale yellow decor/throw pillows.

Show here is the pillow inside of pillow case.

I am thinking about listing this on Etsy to sell.  My granddaughters love it.  The box is sturdy and I believe it will hold up well.  The good thing is you can put all bedding inside box, put lid on box and store if needed.

Thanks for looking. Please leave comment(s) :)
