Awhile back when shopping in Nashville, TN I came across the bright and colorful hot air balloon fabric. I only bought a yard and wish now I would have purchased more. It was pricey so, I just purchased the one yard. When I seen the fabric I thought about Saige the 2013 American Girl doll. I decided to make doll bedding for American Girl. I made two sets and listed on my Etsy store - https://www.etsy.com/shop/GiGisDollCreations
or https://www.etsy.com/listing/127055641/reversible-bedding-for-american-girl
I made a multi-colored chevron print pillow to accent the colors in the bedding. Some of the balloons have chevron design on them.
I used solid dark pink fabric for the reversible side.

Harajuka Skirt from Liberty Jane Clothing
I now have a Facebook account - GiGi's Designs (tried GiGi's Doll Creations but wouldn't accept it :(
There is a link at the top of the screen to follow me - click on link.
I have uploaded several new photos. I have a vendor spring event on Saturday, so I have been busy sewing clothing to sell. I purchased the Harajuka skirt pattern from Liberty Jane Clothing (LJC) http://www.libertyjanepatterns.com/2010/05/american-girl-doll-clothes-harajuku-station-skirt.html and fell in love with this pattern. I thought it would be so hard but it wasn't. Below are some photos of the skirts I made. These are listed on my Etsy Store
I love doing photo shoots with the dolls. I love making them look realistic. I purchased two stuffed dogs at Wal-mart - from the collection My life as Doll .
Denim skirt with hot pink shimmering tulle with pink animal print top
Tan T-shirt with beige horse shoes on red fabric. I used beige shimmering tulle on this skirt.
Now relaxing after all the photo's and modeling clothes....LOL

BBQ apron for Barbie
I found this free pattern and tutorial on Pinterest from Sharon sews - http://sharonsews.blogspot.com/2009/07/sew-apron-oven-mitt-and-matching-chef.html for a 11.5 inch doll apron. I modified it a little bit. I found this awesome BBQ material at Hobby Lobby and decided to use it for a BBQ apron for Barbie.
I found these realistic hot dogs on buns with mustard at JoAnn's on clearance for 25 cents. They are for scrapbooking and had glue dots on the back of them and I placed them onto a silver tray (the tray is actually the lid off of cinnamon rolls icing). I love to recycle items especially when I can make something for American Girl or Barbies look realistic. The hot dogs stay put and don't get lost or stepped on (ouch).
Who is ready for summer and grilling?
You can see the back of apron. I used pony tail holders and cut them to fit around her neck and lower back. These stretch, therefore making it easy to put on or remove.
Here I used green, yellow, and black. I couldn't find any red ones at the time I was making them.
Hope you enjoyed these. Comments are welcomed/

Doll Spa wrap
I decided to make this Disney inspired spa wrap and mask for American Girl doll.
I used a white hand towel and cut in half. Added some ric rac and ribbon, hook and loop velcro. I made the white mask using soft flannel and used a red elastic adult hair headband, cut it and sewed the mask.
Comments and suggestions always welcomed.

Doll Furniture and Bedding
It has been a while since I have posted on my blog and I apologize. I have been busy sewing doll bedding and other clothes. My wonderful husband started making me handcrafted doll furniture. I wanted a bed to display the doll bedding. I didn't want to take pictures of it laying on the floor or across something. I think taking realistic photos are important. So he made me a bed and he started making different designs. Several people were wanting the "farmhouse" style bed. He also made a night stand that the drawer actually works and adirondack chairs. I have a couple of vendor event sales coming up and so I now have furniture to display. Enjoy the photos.
Adirondack Chairs for American Girl and other 18 inch Dolls
These chairs are very sturdy. She fits perfectly in the chair.
I love how the American Girl fits into the chair so perfectly. We are selling the chairs - unfinished for $35.00
Here is one of the farmhouse style beds, night stand. I found a small chevron print notebook at the Dollar store and found a small green basket (at Dollar store 4-pack) and used it for the dolls laundry basket. You can see it at the foot of the bed. I made the sundress she is wearing from and upcycled toddler dress. I used LJC pattern - Hayden dress and modified it.

Barbie and Taylor Swift Guitar
I removed the tiny ornament holder hook from the head othe neck of the guitar. There is a tiny button on the back that plays one of her famous songs (sorry do not know name of song). I purchased it for my oldest granddaughter for Valentines and today she accidently opened a bag and seen it. So needless to say I gave it to her. She was so excited. We got a Barbie doll and the strap on the guitar comes off and we put it on the doll.
Then we had to have a "concert" with the other dolls. Both granddaughters had a lot of fun playing with it.
Pic from one of the fans at concert.....
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to use your imagination :)
