18 inch Boy Doll Clothes Fit American Boy Dolls

Even though it is very cold where I live, there are some very warm places still left on this earth like CA, AZ, FL.... so I made some boy doll clothes - shirt and shorts. I have custom American Boy doll that I purchased - Nick.  American Girl Doll Company just released 4 new American Boy dolls.  There are now 5 from AG company.

I had a lot of fun setting up for the photographs and gathering photo props to go with the clothes.  My grandson likes to play with my doll photo props like the fishing pole, fish, trucks, cars, basketball so I had to look for some of the items. I buy small scale items to use for photo props.  Miniature toys are best size for doll photos.

I have these outfits listed on my Etsy Shop Stitches2Paint

Dump Truck, Ninja Turtle, Basketball theme short sets

The Second Bundle Set I made is from a Nautical Theme

Nautical Theme - Fish, Anchors and Blue Denim shorts

Do you have an American Boy Doll?  Have you seen the four new ones they just released?

As always thanks for browsing my blog.

Dump Truck print short set

I had got the truck at Wal-Mart for $3.00. Perfect size for 18 in boy doll. My husband made the night stand. Drawer slides in and out.  The trash can is a pencil holder that I found at the Dollar Tree store for a $1.00.

18 inch Boy Doll - Little Slugger outfit

This morning I created an outfit for an 18 inch boy doll - Ryan is the modeling Little Slugger outfit.  He is the doll I transformed this past week from a Generation girl doll - here is the link just incase you missed it http://gigisdollcreations.blogspot.com/2013/06/transforming-girl-doll-into-boy-doll.html

I had several request to make some boy doll outfits and I went to Joann's and found some really nice red jersey knit fabric and some red and white baseball print fabric.   I made a T-shirt and a pair of shorts.  I used a doll short pattern and extended the length on them for "boy shorts".

I wanted to make a baseball hat so I went through my patterns and came across Simplicity 1928 - cap A.  I modified the pattern. I did no sew in liner and I changed location of brim to make it look more realistic.  I sewed a 2 inch strip of elastic in the back to create a snug fit.

I have this outfit listed on my Etsy store  https://www.etsy.com/listing/154800334/boy-doll-18-inch-baseball-outfit

I found the baseball at the Dollar Tree store. Perfect size and perfect fit for dolls hand.
