I added some Poly-fil to this one. I think it makes it softer and gives it a raised affect.

Custom Built Sewing Craft Counter

My dear sweet husband asked me if I wanted a new sewing room.  Well of course I said YES.  I have been sewing and cutting fabric on two folding tables.

He custom built this:

Here are the before pictures of my sewing room.

Here is where I sewed and embroidered. Serger machine - still need to learn to use.
The door leads to a huge walk in closet - that is where I store all of my fabric and suplies.

So this past week he worked very hard and created his own design and made me a huge sewing craft table.  Here are some pictures of the assembly of my new sewing counter.

New sewing room - After Pictures
It is 8 x 8 ft, with the counter space for cutting fabric and crafting with my cricut is 32 inches wide.  Where I have the machines is 24 inches wide.

Here I can have access to all my machines

I have all Brother machines - Brother Innovis 950D sewing/embroidery machine, Brother PE770D embroidery machine, and Brother 1034D serger.

Love the extra storage for my cricut crafts and my thread and stabelizers for my embroidery machine.
Here he used the furniture hole covers that we purchased at Home Depot so we could pull the electric cords up to the machines.
I love my new sewing room.

Hot Air Balloon Bedding

Awhile back when shopping in Nashville, TN I came across the bright and colorful hot air balloon fabric.  I only bought a yard and wish now I would have purchased more.  It was pricey so, I just purchased the one yard. When I seen the fabric I thought about Saige the 2013 American Girl doll.  I decided to make doll bedding for American Girl. I made two sets and listed on my Etsy store - https://www.etsy.com/shop/GiGisDollCreations
or https://www.etsy.com/listing/127055641/reversible-bedding-for-american-girl

I made a multi-colored chevron print pillow to accent the colors in the bedding.  Some of the balloons have chevron design on them.

I used solid dark pink fabric for the reversible side.

Harajuka Skirt from Liberty Jane Clothing

I now have a Facebook account - GiGi's Designs (tried GiGi's Doll Creations but wouldn't accept it :(

There is a link at the top of the screen to follow me - click on link.

I have uploaded several new photos.  I have a vendor spring event on Saturday, so I have been busy sewing clothing to sell.  I purchased the Harajuka skirt pattern from Liberty Jane Clothing (LJC) http://www.libertyjanepatterns.com/2010/05/american-girl-doll-clothes-harajuku-station-skirt.html  and fell in love with this pattern.  I thought it would be so hard but it wasn't.  Below are some photos of the skirts I made.  These are listed on my Etsy Store

I love doing photo shoots with the dolls. I love making them look realistic. I purchased two stuffed dogs at Wal-mart - from the collection My life as Doll .
Denim skirt with hot pink shimmering tulle with pink animal print top

White T-shirt with red bandana print with red tulle

Tan T-shirt with beige horse shoes on red fabric. I used beige shimmering tulle on this skirt.

Now relaxing after all the photo's and modeling clothes....LOL

Hope you enjoyed the photos. Thanks for stopping and reading.

BBQ apron for Barbie

I found this free pattern and tutorial on Pinterest from Sharon sews -  http://sharonsews.blogspot.com/2009/07/sew-apron-oven-mitt-and-matching-chef.html  for a 11.5 inch doll apron.  I modified it a little bit.  I found this awesome BBQ material at Hobby Lobby and decided to use it for a BBQ apron for Barbie.

I found these realistic hot dogs on buns with mustard at JoAnn's on clearance for 25 cents.  They are for scrapbooking and had glue dots on the back of them and I placed them onto a silver tray (the tray is actually the lid off of cinnamon rolls icing).  I love to recycle items especially when I can make something for American Girl or Barbies look realistic.  The hot dogs stay put and don't get lost or stepped on (ouch).

Who is ready for summer and grilling?

You can see the back of apron.  I used pony tail holders and cut them to fit around her neck and lower back.  These stretch, therefore making it easy to put on or remove.
Here I used green, yellow, and black.  I couldn't find any red ones at the time I was making them.

Hope you enjoyed these.  Comments are welcomed/

Thanks for stopping and looking.
